What is an ESG Workshop?

Are you aware of the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)? This directive is bringing about a revolutionary change in the way Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting is done. As the deadline for the first ESG reports draws closer (2025), companies required to report will need to start gathering relevant data as early as 2024. However, since this is a new requirement, many of our customers have expressed difficulties in preparing for it.

ESG reporting requires both quantitative and qualitative data, which can be scattered across multiple software systems. Some data may also be difficult to identify. ESG Workshop Overview

The ESG Workshop is a 20-25 hour program that provides expert guidance on becoming ESG-ready. The program can be completed in up to five days and includes an assessment of your company's ESG reporting state of preparedness. While on-site sessions are recommended, we offer both on-site and online sessions, depending on your preference.

The Workshop Kickoff, which is the first session, aims to build a mutual understanding of the core problem. During this session, we discuss your current status of ESG reporting, business and software project environment, relevant dependencies, and current risks. We use custom tools and methods to facilitate these discussions, ensuring we address your specific problem effectively.

In the second stage, we move on to the Deep-Dive Session. Together, we conduct a business analysis to define further the required data and the business processes around it and conduct a gap analysis to identify which data sources still need to be defined. Depending on the project scope, we either continue with the second part of the Deep-Dive Session the same day or conduct it on day three.

The second part of the Deep-Dive Session centres around defining sources for the missing data identified in the previous steps. We then move on to model the business processes behind these data points to ensure seamless collection of the relevant data for ESG reporting. We also aim to establish dependencies between relevant data points and identify any potential gaps.

Finally, we wrap up by reviewing our discoveries and identifying the next steps. We work offline to synthesise all the gathered information and prepare for the Summary Session. Our aim is to equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to confidently navigate the ESG reporting landscape and position your business for success.

ESG Workshop Outcomes

At the end of the ESG Workshop, you'll have a clear understanding of the work required to transition to seamless ESG reporting. We'll work offline to compile all the materials based on our sessions, and then meet again in a Summary Session to go over all the workshop results and provide you with the necessary documentation. Our aim is to equip you with a solid plan of action and the knowledge needed to ensure your ESG reporting complies with regulatory requirements.

 

Your role:

To ensure the workshops are successful and yield the most valuable results, we need your active participation and contribution. This includes:

  • 3-5 days of your time

  • Presence of all key stakeholders (for instance, your Head of IT and ESG domain experts)

  • Sharing available ESG reporting materials with us prior to the sessions

  • Sharing existing architecture diagrams, if applicable, with us prior to the sessions (system context architecture and corporate architecture)

The cost of conducting our ESG Workshop is a Fixed Price of $6,500 net. This investment translates to 110-150 hours of our expert team's time and attention focused solely on your project. If you decide to proceed with Evojam's services for developing your product, the workshop cost will be deducted from the first invoice.
